Complete Diagnosis with Laparohysteroscopy
When natural conception is delayed, laparohysteroscopy helps identify the exact cause. This minimally invasive procedure allows doctors to diagnose and treat fertility issues like blocked tubes, endometriosis, fibroids, or uterine abnormalities in a single sitting, improving your chances of pregnancy.
Minimally Invasive. Maximum Results.
Possible Reasons for Surgery
Unlike routine scans, laparoscopy–hysteroscopy allows doctors to diagnose and treat fertility problems at the same time, making it a crucial decision-making procedure.
🔍 Diagnostic Uses
- Unexplained Infertility: When blood tests, scans, and reports appear normal but pregnancy doesn’t happen.
- Chronic Pelvic Pain: Persistent pain without a clear cause on ultrasound.
- History of Infection: To detect damage from previous pelvic infections (PID).
⚕️ What We Can Treat
- Endometriosis: Removal of cysts and abnormal tissue deposits.
- Ovarian Cysts: Precise removal while preserving ovarian function.
- Pelvic Adhesions: Clearing scar tissue that restricts reproductive organs.
- Reproductive Abnormalities: Early detection, biopsy, or corrective treatment when needed.
How the Procedure Works
Anesthesia
You are given general anesthesia, so you remain completely asleep and pain-free. An IV line ensures hydration and required medications throughout the procedure.
Inflation
A tiny incision is made near the navel. Carbon dioxide gas gently inflates the abdomen, allowing doctors a clear and safe view of internal organs.
Examination
A laparoscope (high-definition camera) is inserted to examine the uterus, tubes, and ovaries. 1–4 small incisions (1–2 cm) allow instruments to diagnose and treat issues in the same sitting.
Recovery
Instruments are removed, gas is released, and incisions are closed. Most patients are discharged the same day and return to normal activities quickly.
Diagnostic Hysteroscopy
Diagnostic hysteroscopy is a safe and precise procedure used to evaluate the inside of the uterus. It helps identify causes of infertility, recurrent miscarriages, abnormal uterine bleeding, or implantation failure.
How it works: A thin camera (hysteroscope) is gently passed through the cervix into the uterus, allowing doctors to clearly view the uterine cavity and detect abnormalities like polyps, fibroids, septum, or adhesions.
Note: No cuts or stitches are required. The procedure is usually performed after the menstrual cycle ends for best visibility and accuracy.
Risks & Warning Signs
Laparohysteroscopy is a safe, minimally invasive procedure, and complications are uncommon. However, being informed helps ensure timely care if needed.
General Risks
- Temporary effects related to general anesthesia
- Mild skin irritation or abdominal wall inflammation
- Hematomas: (localized blood collection near incision sites)
- Rare uterine perforation during instrumentation
- Occasional post-procedure urinary or bladder infection
Call Doctor If You Experience:
