What are the Steps Involved In IVF Treatment?

IVF Is an abbreviated form of In Vitro Fertilization, and it is a form of assisted reproductive technology (ART). It is a sophisticated set of techniques used to aid in the conception of a child, aid fertility, or prevent genetic abnormalities. In vitro fertilization, mature eggs are extracted (retrieved) from the ovaries and fertilized in a laboratory with sperm.

India IVF Clinic is one of the most affordable, reliable IVF centers in Delhi NCR with our cutting-edge facilities and treatments, delivering safe and successful pregnancies across India.

The process of IVF treatment in India is as follows:

01.
Stimulate the ovaries
In this case, the woman is being given hormone-based fertility medicines, which are nothing more than hormones, to encourage her ovaries to produce more eggs than usual. During each ovulation cycle, a woman's ovaries typically produce one egg. Transvaginal ultrasound images and routine blood tests are used to continuously track the development of eggs after the medications have been administered. This guarantees that the eggs are collected at the appropriate moment.
02.
Egg Recovery (Ovum Pick up)
Process of harvesting eggs from a woman is done inside the IVF OT under Anesthesia. An ultrasound monitor receives information from the probe about the precise position of the follicles inside the ovaries. The eggs and associated fluid are individually extracted from each follicle using a needle that is connected to a suction apparatus. The second ovary undergoes the same procedure. Donor eggs may be utilized if the lady is unable to produce her own eggs.
03.
Fertilization and Insemination
On the same day as egg collection, the male spouse is asked to provide a sample of semen. At the time of ovary stimulation, a semen sample is also requested and cryopreserved as a precaution. The highest quality sperm and eggs are combined in a chamber with regulated environmental conditions during a typical IVF procedure. Insemination is the process in which eggs are combined with sperm. After a few hours, the sperm successfully enters the egg, resulting in fertilization.
04.
Culture of embryos
A division of a fertilized egg produces an embryo. This embryo is monitored frequently to make sure it is developing normally. A typical embryo usually develops many cells that continue to divide quickly within 3-5 days.

Transfer an embryo (Embryo Transfer)
One to two embryos are transferred in the woman's uterus about three to five days after the eggs are removed and fertilized and once they reach a particular size (womb). This is accomplished by using ultrasound guidance to guide the insertion of a catheter, a small plastic tube, through the cervix and into the uterine cavity. Pregnancy is confirmed if the embryo is successful in growing and fusing to the uterine wall (a process known as implantation). The embryo transfer procedure is quite comparable to trans-vaginal ultrasound and typically doesn't include any discomfort or the need for anesthesia. If just one embryo is selected for transfer, the others may, with the approval of both parties, be implanted, discarded, frozen or used for research purposes. Blood tests are performed on the lady two weeks following the embryo transfer to determine whether pregnancy has been successfully confirmed.
