Shilpa Shetty and husband Raj Kundra announce the birth of the daughter samisha with an Instagram post saying our prayers have been answered with a miracle, with gratitude in our hearts we are thrilled to announce the arrival of our little angel.
A few months later, Shilpa Shetty went on record to tell the world about their journey of surrogacy. She opened up about why she and Raj Kundra decided to go with surrogacy. She said that after Viaan, I Wanted to have another child but every time I get pregnant, I experienced miscarriage. I am suffering from a disease called APLA and it was a genuine issue. APLA is an antiphospholipid syndrome in which the immune system of the mother attacks the normal proteins in the blood which cause blood clots in the veins arteries and organs.
She also told about her youngest sister Shamita Shetty who spoke about giving Viaan a sibling. I didn’t want to grow him up as a single child because I am one of two and I know how important it is to have a sibling. But she also share that it was not that much easy. Coming from the thought of it I explore many ideas to get pregnant successfully but nothing worked well. A time came when I wanted to adopt a child everything was going according to the plan. But the timeline was pushed to another date due to some issues in the process. And it was a long time wait nearly 4 years. I was irritated at a point, then we decide to go with a surrogacy route.
After the 3 attempts, we had Samisha. Honestly, I had Given Up On the hope of having another child. After a wait of 5 years, when I got to know that we are going to be parents again. we clear our work schedules and make my whole month free for Samisha. I wanted to give my all-time to samisha. After a busy schedule, the lockdown slowdown everything. Samisha came with the Destiny of this time for our house.
Shilpa Shetty Kundra is always open about sharing their experiences with motherhood. If we take a look back in 2012 when Her son viaan was born. She also share the motherhood stories and spoke about the experience of having children in working women’s life. Moreover, she also shares her experiences of having children at a later stage of life. As she never wants to be a mother at 37.
She explains the meaning of the word samisha, Sa in Sanskrit meaning is to have and Misha meaning in Russian is someone like God. Shilpa said that samisha is a Goddess Lakshmi who completes their family with wealth, health and happiness.
